Angry Youth Take Over The Kisumu State House, Police Unable To Control them

Almost 400 youth took over the Kisumu State House ahead of Raila’s swearing-in at Uhuru Park, Nairobi on Tuesday afternoon.

The Youth have taken control of the premises hours after anti-riot police were unable to control the crowd.

The police had armored vehicles, water cannons and batons.

According to the protesters, the move is to install Raila Odinga as the people’s president after his inauguration ceremony in Nairobi.

“We have taken over this state house until Baba is declared the President,” said Eric Odhiambo, a protester.

Some Nasa supporters were holding twigs and blowing vuvuzelas and whistles, while others were traveling by bus and matatu within Kisumu town.

Nasa leaders began trooping into Uhuru Park ahead of the planned swearing-in of principals Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka.
